Robert O. Reffell

Executive Chef

Robert O. Reffell has worked as the Executive Chef at one of the top companies in Northern Virginia and was a member of the Washington Redskins Catering Team. Chef Robert developed his love for cooking from an early age and has fond memories of helping his father cook meals for friends and neighbors in his homeland of West Africa, and the delicious flavors of that region can also be found in the Menu Page. The best of both Worlds would best describe his expertise in the Regional Cuisine as well, as he migrated to the United States as a teenager which is when he began working as a dishwasher while in high school—and quickly moved into a position as a prep cook. “I observed cooks and chefs at work and rediscovered my passion in the culinary field.” He then enrolled at The Art Institute of Washington and gained the skills needed to become a chef. Robert, who in 2007 earned an Associate in Arts in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Washington and later a Bachelors in Marketing from UMUC, says that his education provided the fundamentals he needed to grow into a professional chef. “I am proud of how far I have come and excited to see how far I can go.”
